Hello! My name is Micah, and I’m from the Philippines 🇵🇭 . I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. Speaking with people who want to improve their English, as well as to learn my mother language are my favorite things to do. I enjoy real-world conversations and situations in English. Yes, I have a couple of degrees (Bachelor’s and Master’s) and a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) diploma, but don’t let that fool you. I’m still a “real” person that has many interests that we can discuss. My teaching style? Fun and interactive! I like to teach the language that is relevant to YOU and to what you want to achieve. Yes, we will have fun during our lessons, but we will also focus on your goals. Some examples include small talk, rapid conversation, listening skills, idioms, or even jokes. Also, I use supplementary materials and resources outside of our normal lessons. Some examples include off2class, Zoom, and homework about current events and so on. Moreover, I make my materials that suit my learner's needs. Why should you spend your money on me? You are not just “another student” to me. As we work together, to build your English competency, we will get to know each other more, making the lessons seem more interesting and fun. Audio/Video Policy I do not do “audio-only” calls, your body language, and facial expressions are important indicators of whether or not you understand the material we are discussing, but sometimes it depends on what you prefer and in some valid circumstances.
