Hey there! My name is Karen and I live in Toronto, Canada. One of my favourite things to do is travel the world to different non-English speaking countries and learn about the culture. I have a passion for helping people become their best selves. This means that I really enjoy meeting people and having conversations about their lives.
I have a degree in Economics and Political Science, Certification in Holistic Nutrition and I'm also a yoga and fitness instructor. Don’t let my degrees fool you into thinking I only talk about those topics! I enjoy real, meaningful interactions with my students and provide a comfortable environment for all of them so they are able to communicate their ideas with me. We will have lots of fun in our lessons but I also want to help you with your goals. Some examples include small talk, rapid conversations, listening skills, idioms and even jokes.
As I get to know you more as a student and person, and we work to build your English complacency, I will be able to provide you with supplementary materials and resources outside of our lessons. Some examples include Whatsapp, WeChat, Line and homework about current events.
I DO NOT do audio calls only. I believe your body language and facial expressions are important indicators of whether or not you understand the material we are discussing.
